Founded in 790 by Moulay Idriss I, Fez is the cradle of a millennium-long monarchy and a former capital of the Cherifian Empire. Your guided visit explores this legacy through the heart of the ancient Medina.
Begin with a panoramic view of Fez before continuing to the Royal Palace of Fez (Dar el-Makhzen) gates. Walk past historic institutions such as the Bou Inania Madrasa, built by Sultan Abu Inan Faris, and the Madrasa Al-Attarine, commissioned by Sultan Uthman II Abu Said.
Visit the intricately carved Nejjarine Fountain, explore the vibrant leather tannery, and discover traditional artisan workshops. Continue to the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and visit the historic Ibn Danan Synagogue, dating back to the 17th century.
