Overview
We love Tangier because it doesn’t sit still. From Casablanca, you head north and arrive somewhere that feels open by default — to weather, to ideas, to whatever’s coming in off the water. This is Morocco looking outward, with the Strait of Gibraltar always somewhere in view.
Spend the day taking in the energy of places rather than ticking them off. There are moments up high with wide views, moments back on street level where life carries on as usual, and plenty in between. With a good guide alongside you, the story of Tangier fills in naturally — how its position shaped it, and why it still feels relaxed, international, and slightly unpredictable. It’s a city that makes sense once you’re in motion, not before.
